Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - SMA

Biogen seeks a Medical Science Liaison in Mexico City to engage healthcare professionals and medical experts on spinal muscular atrophy therapies. The role involves building strategic relationships, communicating clinical evidence, and providing scientific insights to support clinical decision-making across multiple regions. Candidates require an advanced scientific or clinical degree and at least two years of high-specialty MSL experience or neuromuscular disease expertise.

Responsibilities

• Engage with healthcare professionals and key medical experts as scientific authority
• Provide evidence-based scientific information aligned with clinical strategies
• Build and sustain long-term relationships with medical stakeholders
• Monitor therapeutic advances and maintain current product knowledge
• Extract medical insights to inform organizational clinical strategies

Requirements

• Advanced degree in pharmacy or doctoral-level scientific field
• Minimum two years MSL experience in rare diseases or neurology
• Ability to communicate complex medical information effectively
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical compliance and ethics
• Willingness to travel 60% or more, including overnight trips
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Fluent English proficiency preferred
