The Role

We are strengthening our Supply Chain organization to support continued growth and operational scalability. We are looking for a Planning Lead who can drive planning discipline, lead cross-functional alignment, and ensure reliable execution across demand, supply, and materials.

This is a hybrid role that combines team leadership, decision-making, and hands-on execution , playing a key role in stabilizing and scaling our planning processes. The position will be critical in enabling visibility, improving inventory performance, and supporting the company’s expansion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end planning process, including demand, supply, and materials planning.
• Manage and develop the Planning team (Supply Planner and Materials Planner), ensuring clear priorities and execution.
• Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, aligning Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Ensure product availability and material readiness while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
• Participate in operational execution when needed, supporting supply and materials planning decisions.
• Identify risks related to supply, inventory, or capacity, and define mitigation plans.
• Establish and monitor key planning KPIs such as service level, inventory health, and plan adherence.
• Drive improvements in planning processes, tools, and data visibility.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Commercial teams to ensure aligned execution.
• Provide visibility to leadership on supply chain performance, risks, and planning scenarios.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in supply chain planning (materials, production, or supply planning).
• Experience leading or coordinating planning teams or cross-functional processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate to advanced English.

Desired

• Experience leading or participating in S&OP / Integrated Business Planning processes .
• Experience in high-growth or dynamic supply chain environments.
• Strong understanding of inventory optimization (safety stock, service levels, demand variability).
• Experience managing multi-SKU and multi-supplier environments.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI or similar).
• Experience driving process improvements and operational discipline.

Birdman in Zapopan, Mexico is seeking a hybrid Planning Leader to strengthen our supply chain. You will oversee demand, supply and materials planning, lead the Planning team, and coordinate the S&OP process to align Commercial, Operations and Supply Chain. The role focuses on ensuring product availability, healthy inventory levels, and data-driven decision-making.
