Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Reps are at the forefront of a fast-paced strategic environment. Our customers require individuals who think strategically, plan ahead of rapidly changing situations, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. These reps must be organized, engaged, and results-driven.

What you’ll be doing:

• Soliciting and acquiring daily, weekly, and monthly freight
• Accurately booking orders and entering data in the system
• Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Maintaining freight commitments using system tools
• Communicating with customers on load changes, status updates, and late load notices; documenting communication events
• Tracking freight to proactively identify issues that may cause late deliveries and coordinating plans to swap and save on-time delivery
• Quickly and effectively solving problems
• Ensuring strong follow‑through and frequently updating customers on high‑profile loads
• Managing multiple tasks while maintaining organization
• Updating customers on equipment availability
• Escalating issues to management and documenting customer operating procedures

What we require:

• Strong phone and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service and a proactive mindset
• Results-driven work ethic
• Prior transportation experience preferred
• Proficient understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Demonstrated skill in managing large account relationships
• Ability to de‑escalate upset customers, listening, offering sympathy and solutions, and closing interactions
• Ability to communicate details and recognize what information is important to each specific customer
