SMT Factory Operations Director(J52165)

Position Positioning

This position serves as the primary person in full charge of the overall operations of the SMT factory in Tijuana, with comprehensive responsibility for strategic implementation, production operations, quality control, cost lean management, safety production, supply chain coordination, team management, and compliance operations.

This role leads the efficient operation of the SMT, DIP, and FCT manufacturing systems for 3C and automotive electronics products, and bears full accountability for the factory's core operational indicators, including revenue, profit, delivery performance, quality levels, safety production, team effectiveness, and compliance risk control, ensuring the factory's long-term stable, efficient, and sustainable development.

Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy and Objective Management

(1) Deeply align with group and regional strategies; based on SMT industry characteristics, capacity structure, process features, and market order trends, formulate the factory's annual/quarterly/monthly operational plans, capacity plans, cost targets, quality targets, and delivery targets.

(2) Establish mechanisms for target decomposition, process monitoring, and review optimization to ensure the implementation of operational indicators and drive continuous improvement in profit, efficiency, and cost.

(3) Lead business performance review meetings, identify bottleneck issues, develop improvement plans, and ensure steady growth in the factory's operating performance.

2. Overall Coordination of Production Operations

(1) Take full responsibility for the entire chain of production planning, scheduling, capacity release, process management, equipment maintenance, and efficiency improvement in the SMT factory.

(2) Coordinate material readiness, production progress, exception handling, and capacity ramp-up to ensure on-time, full-volume, and high-quality order delivery.

(3) Continuously optimize production processes to improve OEE, per-capita efficiency, and unit output, while reducing production cycle times and work-in-progress inventory.

3. Quality and Process System Development

(1) Establish and iterate the ISO quality management system, standardized operating procedures, and full-process inspection standards, covering incoming material inspection, in-process control, finished product testing, and outgoing inspection.

(2) Lead quality improvement initiatives, yield enhancement, defect analysis, and customer complaint closure to reduce defect rates, rework rates, scrap rates, and after-sales costs.

(3) Drive process optimization, technology upgrades, and introduction of new materials to improve product consistency and market competitiveness.

4. Safety Production and Compliance Management

(1) Establish and implement systems and execution standards for safety production responsibility, fire protection management, environmental control, occupational health, and hazardous chemical management.

(2) Conduct regular safety training, hazard inspections, and emergency drills to ensure zero major safety incidents, zero environmental violations, and zero compliance penalties.

(3) Strictly comply with national and local laws and regulations to ensure 100% compliant factory operations.

5. Cost Control and Lean Improvement

(1) Build a comprehensive cost control system covering all cost categories including labor, materials, energy, consumables, equipment, and logistics.

(2) Drive cost reduction, efficiency improvement, lean production, and waste elimination to achieve controllable and continuously declining costs.

(3) Lead budget preparation, cost analysis, and expense control to enhance the factory's profitability.

6. Supply Chain and Resource Coordination

(1) Coordinate internal production with external supply chain collaboration to ensure stable material supply, controllable lead times, and reliable quality.

(2) Interface with procurement, warehousing, logistics, and planning functions to improve supply chain responsiveness and turnover efficiency.

(3) Optimize inventory structure, reduce slow-moving and obsolete stock, and improve capital utilization efficiency.

7. Team Building and Management

(1) Responsible for building the factory management team, talent development, performance appraisal, and incentive mechanism design.

(2) Build a highly executable, cohesive, and professional production management team.

(3) Foster a positive, safe, standardized, and efficient factory culture to enhance employee stability and sense of belonging.

8. Special Projects and Group Initiatives

(1) Strictly implement all group and regional policies, strategic deployments, audit requirements, and special task assignments.

(2) Regularly submit operational data, work reports, and improvement results to ensure smooth upward and downward information flow.

(3) Drive digital and intelligent upgrades in the factory to improve management efficiency and decision-making capabilities.

Requirements:

1.Bachelor's degree or above; majors in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing, Production Management, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.

2. Minimum 8 years of overall operations management experience in manufacturing.

3.Minimum 5 years of senior-level management experience as General Manager/Plant Manager/Production Director or equivalent in a large-scale factory.

4. Must have deep expertise in the SMT industry, with proficiency in production processes, process standards, quality systems, equipment management, supply chain, and safety production across the entire workflow.

5. Demonstrated experience in overall management of a large-scale electronic smart manufacturing factory with 100+ employees, with proven track records in business growth, efficiency improvement, cost reduction, and yield enhancement.

6.Proficient in either English or Chinese.

7.Proven successful experience in full-scope SMT factory management/senior management experience in a listed company or large-scale, well-established electronic smart manufacturing enterprise/experience leading digital factory, lean production, or automation upgrade projects is preferred.
