Senior Accountant

Our client is a fast-growing, venture-backed company building and scaling its accounting function to support rapid growth. This is a confidential search; the hiring company's identity will be shared with candidates who advance to later stages of the process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close schedules
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reporting
• Partner with the Director of Accounting and Controller to bring accounting processes in-house
• Assist with ERP and financial systems implementation (NetSuite experience preferred)
• Reconcile cash, AR/AP, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
• Collaborate with Operations and Product teams to ensure proper accounting for new initiatives
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)
• 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or startup experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close procedures
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience documenting processes and supporting system implementations
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
