Senior supply chain analyst (Bellavista)

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Confidence in presenting and dealing with supervisory levels within Sanmina and with manufacturers.
• Ability to manage multiple, detailed projects to a successful end while working under tight time deadlines.
• Experience communicating, motivating, and persuading with a wide variety of internal customers and manufacturers.
• Comfortable with shifting priorities, timelines, and requirements.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain theory with practical experience.
• Ability to work effectively on cross‑functional teams in a general team environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Job Descriptor

• Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required material purchases.
• Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., Just‑In‑Time purchases, use of EOQ – Economic Order Quantities).
• Resolves discrepancies.
• Ensures material standards are met and non‑conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized.
• Develops specifications for new contract orders.
• Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards.
• Monitors cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
• Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Purchasing, and/or supply chain management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Confidence in presenting and dealing with internal personnel as well as manufacturers and suppliers.
• Learn to, and manage supplier negotiations.
• Problem‑solving ability – ability to analyze situations, identify problems, and recommend/implement corrective actions and processes.
• Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain management.
• EMS experience and/or knowledge of Sanmina’s internal systems (plus).
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of market conditions for the areas of specialization, including industry pricing, technology and supply/demand trends and suppliers’ management teams.
