Role Overview

Design, develop, and maintain cutting‑edge BI solutions, collaborating with other BI Tech Leads to create a unified execution strategy while managing multiple tasks and projects.

Our Team

The team supports BI solutions for the Containerboard business within the Packaging and Cellulose division at Georgia‑Pacific. It currently includes two technical resources based in the KGSI Bangalore office and is expanding in the U.S. and Guadalajara to support U.S. business hours (EST).

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions for the Containerboard business.
• Partner with other BI Tech Leads to establish a shared execution vision, leveraging best practices and fostering cross‑team collaboration.
• Prioritize, organize, and coordinate simultaneous tasks and projects while conducting hands‑on BI activities.
• Support legacy platforms, tools, and commitments while embracing new‑generation platforms.
• Experiment with new technologies and solutions to create improved value for customers.
• Implement BI and data solutions in close collaboration with Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, Data Governance, App/Dev & BI Leadership to ensure alignment.
• Collaborate with a diverse and distributed IT team, including business analysts, project managers, architects, developers, and vendors to optimize innovative technologies and solutions.
• Work with cross‑functional, on‑shore/off‑shore, development/QA teams and vendors in a matrixed environment for data delivery.
• Ensure conformance and compliance using Georgia‑Pacific data architecture guidelines and enterprise data strategic vision.
• Provide consultant support in analysis, solution design, and service delivery.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience implementing multi‑dimensional databases, cubes, and data warehouses using the Microsoft BI technology stack.
• Proficiency in SQL, stored procedure development, and experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Hands‑on experience with BI, data, and analytics implementation and architecture that drives business outcomes.
• Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience in a cross‑functional environment with team development and coaching responsibilities.
• Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and resolve data quality issues.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics preferred.
• Experience working with enterprise data stores, data lakes, external data sources, and APIs.
• Experience managing agile scrum projects with remote teams across the globe.
• Independent problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Power BI semantic modeling and visualization.
