Wiring harness design engineer (creo) (Nezahualcóyotl)

We are seeking an experienced Wiring Harness Design Engineer with expertise in Creo, electrical schematics, and automotive voltage systems. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing vehicle wiring harnesses, preparing electrical schematics, and supporting electrical architecture and integration activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive wiring harness systems using Creo Cabling/Wiring.
• Create and modify electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and harness layouts.
• Perform harness routing, packaging, and integration within vehicle architecture.
• Analyze voltage distribution, power management, grounding, and circuit protection requirements.
• Prepare 2D drawings, harness flattening, BOM, and manufacturing documentation.
• Support connector, terminal, fuse, and relay selection activities.
• Ensure compliance with automotive electrical and packaging standards.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and supplier teams for design releases.
• Conduct design validation, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis for harness‑related issues.
• Support prototype build, testing, and vehicle integration activities.
• Manage engineering change requests and maintain design documentation.
• Participate in DFMEA and design review activities.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Wiring Harness Design and Development.
• Hands‑on experience with Creo Cabling/Wiring modules.
• Good knowledge of electrical schematics and circuit design.
• Understanding of automotive voltage systems, power distribution, and grounding concepts.
• Experience in wire sizing, voltage drop calculations, and harness packaging.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN and LIN.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with BOM preparation and manufacturing release processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or related engineering field.
• Experience in automotive OEM/Tier‑1 projects preferred.
• Knowledge of CATIA Electrical, Capital Harness, or Mentor Graphics tools is an advantage.
