Senior Applied AI & ML Research Engineer

About the Role

• Build scalable machine learning solutions: create large‑scale data processing pipelines to help researchers build and train novel machine learning algorithms and develop high performing systems for large online delivery environments.

About You

• Have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally in machine learning and natural language processing.
• Skilled in Python software development stacks and ecosystems; experience with other programming languages is idóneo.
• Can understand, apply, integrate and deploy machine learning capabilities and techniques into other systems.
• Familiar with the Python data science stack including Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, scikit‑learn.
• Take pride in writing clean, reusable, maintainable and well‑tested code.
• Have a desire to learn and embrace new and emerging technology.
• Familiar with probabilistic models and understand mathematical concepts underlying machine learning methods.

• Experience integrating machine learning solutions into production‑grade software and a strong understanding of ModelOps and MLOps principles.
• Previous exposure to NLP problems and familiarity with key tasks such as named entity recognition, information extraction, information retrieval, etc.
• Ability to understand and translate between language and methodologies used in both research and engineering fields.
• Successfully integrated machine learning solutions into production‑grade software.
• Hands‑on experience in other programming and scripting languages such as Java, TypeScript or JavaScript.
