Position Summary

Source qualified carrier capacity, negotiate competitive rates, and directly dispatch vehicle transportation orders. Maintain accurate shipment visibility from pickup through delivery, support carrier relationships, and help expand the Montway carrier network.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch: Identify and contact suitable haulers, negotiate rates, verify carrier equipment and qualifications, and dispatch single vehicles and full loads.
• Carrier sourcing and onboarding: Expand the Montway Network using Mondrian, internal databases, and load boards; communicate quick-pay terms, lane opportunities, and platform benefits; collect required documentation during outreach.
• Order verification: Confirm vehicle operability (OP/INOP), key availability, and pickup-site access with pickup locations when required by the account.
• Shipment visibility: Contact carriers daily on active orders; document status and milestones in Salesforce in real time; communicate exceptions to account teams the same day.
• Carrier support: Resolve vehicle readiness, inoperable unit, bill of lading (BOL), claims, and certificate of insurance (COI) questions; elevate issues when needed.
• Aging inventory: Review Day 5 orders, audit order history, develop mitigation plans, and follow through on delayed shipments.
• Record accuracy: Keep assignments, carrier communications, order status, and transportation milestones complete and current in Salesforce.

Required Skills

• Carrier sourcing and negotiation: Confident outbound calling, persuasive communication, rate negotiation, and relationship building.
• Transportation knowledge: Understanding of vehicle transport, carrier qualifications, equipment types, pickup and delivery processes, and shipping documentation.
• Execution and prioritization: Ability to manage multiple active shipments, identify exceptions early, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
• Customer and carrier service: Professional communication, active listening, conflict resolution, and timely escalation.
• Systems and documentation: Accurate, real-time CRM/TMS data entry; ability to use Salesforce, carrier databases, and load boards.
• Analytical judgment: Assess carrier options, transportation rates, order history, and recovery plans while protecting service and margin.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight dispatch, freight brokerage, carrier sales, transportation logistics, or a related customer-facing operations role preferred.
• Comfortable making frequent outbound calls, negotiating with U.S. carriers, and working U.S. business hours.
• Professional English communication skills; strong computer proficiency and ability to maintain accurate records across multiple systems.

Preferred

• Prior auto hauler experience is a plus.
• Automotive logistics experience; familiarity with Salesforce, Mondrian, Super Dispatch, or load boards; experience sourcing and onboarding U.S. vehicle carriers.
• Performance measures and numerical targets are maintained in a separate KPI document.
