We create more efficient ways for shippers and carriers to transport goods across North America.Role SummaryThe Senior Collections / AR Analyst acts as a lead functional expert and execution partner to the AR Manager, supporting the day‑to‑day effectiveness, consistency, and governance of Collections activities.This role does not have direct supervisory responsibility, but functions as an operational lead , ensuring that collection strategies, processes, and controls are executed consistently across the team. The role serves as a key point of escalation, process owner, and SOP authority , while remaining hands‑on in complex collections and customer situations.Key Responsibilities1. Collections Execution OversightSupport the AR Manager in overseeing daily collections execution , ensuring activities are aligned with defined strategies, priorities, and KPIsMonitor workload distribution, aging trends, and follow‑up discipline across the Collections teamAct as a first‑level functional escalation for complex, high‑risk, or sensitive customer accountsEnsure consistent application of credit terms, dispute handling, and escalation protocols2. Subject Matter Expertise & Decision SupportServe as a senior subject matter expert (SME) for Collections and AR processesProvide guidance to analysts on best practices, system usage, and collection approaches (without formal people management)Partner closely with the AR Manager to analyze performance drivers, risks, and improvement opportunitiesSupport data‑driven decision making through trend analysis and insights3. SOP Ownership & Process GovernanceOwn, build, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Collections and related AR activitiesIdentify process gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies and propose improvementsEnsure process documentation aligns with audit requirements and internal policies4. Quality Control & CompliancePerform qualityEnsure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and compliance standardsSupport internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and process walkthroughsAct as a control champion within the Collections function5. Cross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with Credit, Sales, Customer Service, Cash Application, and Finance teams to resolve complex AR issuesSupport alignment between upstream and downstream processes impacting collections effectivenessParticipate in cross‑functional initiatives related to AR optimization, system changes, or policy updates6. Hands‑On Complex Account ManagementMaintain ownership of high‑risk, high‑value, or complex customer accountsLead resolution of escalated disputes, payment delays, and contractual challengesDrive timely resolution while balancing customer relationships and cash objectivesDoes this sound like you?
