The role

This role is the senior performance marketing leader for Mexico, accountable for defining and executing the country's digital acquisition strategy.

Working in close partnership with the Head of Marketing and the Country Leadership Team, the role shapes commercial growth through data-driven acquisition, market insight and continuous optimisation. Although reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role operates as a strategic partner with significant autonomy and influence across Product, Analytics, CRM, Risk and Commercial teams.

While the role is clearly focused on the digital marketing it is expected to play a significant role in the definition of the brand strategy, social media developemnt, team competence growth and agency management.

The responsibilities

• Plan strategically and manage execution all digital marketing activities.
• Build digital channel mix aligning brand investments, partners networks and performance activities to drive down cost of acquistition
• Own the end-to-end paid media strategy across Search, Display, YouTube, Performance Max and future acquisition channels.
• Act as the recognised expert for paid acquisition, setting standards, governance, testing frameworks and best practices for the market.
• Develop annual and quarterly acquisition strategies aligned with business growth, profitability and customer quality objectives.
• Jointly shape the country marketing strategy (incl. digital and offline activities) with the Head of Marketing, contributing as an commercial partner
• Coopeare with the Digital Marketing HUB on definition of the market strategies and set the targets and lead the HUB team in campaign execution and optimization
• Own paid media investment, budget allocation, forecasting, ROAS, CPA and acquisition quality performance.
• Drive continuous optimisation through detailed analysis, experimentation, attribution, audience strategy, bidding and landing page improvements.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders based on market trends, competitor intelligence and performance insights.
• Partner with Product, CRM, Analytics, Risk and Brand teams to optimise the full customer acquisition journey.
• Build relationships with Google, Meta, Amazon and local strategic partners to identify innovation opportunities and early access programmes.
• Ensure compliance with advertising regulations, platform policies and responsible lending requirements.
• Coach colleagues, share expertise and digital marketing capability across the wider marketing organisation.
• Represent the performance marketing function in country planning, investment discussions and commercial reviews.

So, what skills, knowledge, and experience do you have?

• 7–10 years of experience in performance marketing with substantial hands‑on Google Ads expertise.
• Experience leading acquisition strategy in fintech, financial services, e-commerce or another data‑driven digital business.
• Strong knowledge of attribution, analytics, conversion tracking, experimentation and budget optimisation.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders without relying on direct line authority.
• Experience managing significant media budgets and delivering measurable commercial impact.
• English and Spanish fluency
• Strong knowledge of MX digital market trends
• Knowledge of all digital aspects of marketing and customer acquisition incl. web performance, SEO/GEO, ad platforms, programmatic, content platforms, etc.
• Understanding of performance marketing principles, customer acquisition strategies, and conversion funnel optimization.
