Overview

Seeking an Associate Director of Technology to lead the development, execution, and governance of the enterprise technology strategy. This person will oversee technology operations, digital transformation, cybersecurity, data, technology risk, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who can align technology with business priorities while ensuring security, scalability, resilience, and regulatory compliance within a financial or similarly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise technology strategy and roadmap
• Advise executive leadership and the Board on technology trends, risks, investments, and opportunities
• Lead technology governance, cybersecurity, data, and risk management policies
• Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and regulatory compliance programs
• Manage enterprise systems, including ERP, core banking platforms, data platforms, and digital services
• Drive modernization across cloud, infrastructure, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions
• Lead data governance and analytics initiatives
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and generative AI, with a focus on ethical and compliant use
• Manage technology budgets, capital investments, vendors, and external service providers
• Build and lead a high-performing technology organization, including distributed and remote teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
• Senior management experience leading enterprise technology teams
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment strongly preferred
• Experience overseeing ERP and core business platform implementations
• Strong background in cybersecurity, technology risk, disaster recovery, and business continuity
• Experience managing technology operating budgets and capital investments
• Experience supporting audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance requirements
• Ability to manage remote/distributed teams and external vendors

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, or cloud certifications preferred
• Experience with core banking systems
• Experience transitioning from legacy systems to modern platforms

Technical Competencies

Ideal candidates should have working knowledge of:

• Cybersecurity architecture, IAM, incident response, and disaster recovery
• Hybrid cloud, infrastructure, virtualization, storage, scalability, and vendor ecosystems
• Data governance, analytics platforms, automation, AI, and generative AI
• ERP, core banking systems, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns
• Technology risk, third-party risk, audit readiness, and regulatory controls
• Secure networking, connectivity, and collaboration tools

Key Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior technology leader from a financial institution, bank, credit union, fintech, or regulated organization who has led enterprise technology operations, modernization initiatives, cybersecurity/risk programs, ERP or core platform implementations, and technology governance.

They should be comfortable working with executive leadership, managing budgets, leading teams, overseeing vendors, and ensuring technology supports institutional strategy while maintaining compliance and operational resilience.
