Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The VIE Forvia Program is an international young graduate program for graduates from the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28 to work for a subsidiary around the world. Business France handles the administrative procedures of your assignment.

Role: Commodity Buyer VIE - Metal & Mechatronics, based at the Puebla, Mexico headquarters. The Commodity Buyer VIE is responsible for supporting the deployment of the Metal & Mechatronics commodity strategy by managing assigned suppliers, sourcing activities, negotiations and performance across cost, quality and delivery.

• Manage assigned suppliers, including RFQs, negotiations and sourcing activities.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding cost, quality, delivery and supply continuity.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze market trends and anticipate supplier risks.
• Coordinate with Programs, Engineering, Quality, Logistics and Plants, including regular supplier visits and progress reporting.

The mission will last 1 year and could be extended by 1 additional year (total of 2 years).

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Requirements

• English language is mandatory for global communication.
• Master’s degree or Engineering diploma in purchasing.
• Minimum 2–3 years purchasing experience (Automotive or capital equipment preferred).
