Material Engineer

Work Summary

1. Responsible for the confirmation of customer's production forecast plan

2. According to the customer's demand and the actual demand of production, responsible for the supplier's demand plan and the main production plan, the tracking and confirmation of raw materials, the control of materials during the production process, the arrangement of finished goods shipping and transportation, and the management of material warehouse to ensure the normal production and ensure the delivery of customers

Main tasks and responsibilities

1. Familiar with production process, conduct capacity analysis and communicate with customers in a timely manner to develop master production plan according to order requirements.

2. Responsible for making the release of the wanting plan, making timely adjustment according to the production and stock demand, tracking the supplier order execution and ensuring the material meets the production requirements.

3. Responsible for client's shipment arrangement to ensure on-time delivery of orders and control transportation cost and develop monthly reports.

4. Provide material support for new product projects, responsible for raw material requirements and tracking confirmation after PPAP to ensure material progress in line with the project schedule.

5. Control raw material inventory within reasonable range according to customer order requirements and supplier quality, reduce work-in-process inventory to achieve lean production.

6. Responsible for product commercial inspection, document production, customs declaration and defective product scrapping. Reconcile accounts with finance regularly to ensure no errors. Understand the laws and regulations of customs affairs, commodity inspection, inspection and quarantine and the latest customs clearance policies, and cooperate with the customs coordinator to maintain good communication with customs.

7. Reasonable and timely arrangement of shipping, receiving and dispatching work to ensure that the production schedule can be completed as planned.

8. Cooperate with logistics engineers to improve the utilization of warehouse area, inventory turnover rate, improve the efficiency of material distribution, analyze and improve the existing material distribution process.

9. Responsible for SAP bill of materials and basic setup of processing flow. Responsible for daily material data maintenance and regular inventory work.

10. Work ability should meet the specific requirements of the client.

11. Assume responsibility for the management of the company's relevant KOS documents and the requirements of IATF16949/ISO45001/ISO14001/AEO (Customs: Accredited Operator) standards, ensure the effective operation of the KOS documents, and continuously improve the relevant procedures in the KOS documents and their application within the department.

12. Complete other work tasks as assigned by the leader.

Qualification

Education： Bachelor's degree or above

Work experience：

─ At least two years of relevant working experience, automotive experience is preferred.

Knowledge：

─ Excellent/good written and verbal skills in English, good interpersonal communication skills

─ Possess good Excel skills, familiar with MRP system & SAP System.
