Customer Service Representative

A Brief Summary of This Position:

The Customer Service Representative analyzes customer orders getting closed and invoiced and make sure all the requirements to do so are met.

Essential Functions:

• This position reports to the Customer Service Manager for Monterrey Sites and has no direct or indirect reports
• Very unfrequently travel is required for this position
• This Customer Service Representative position is focused in getting orders invoiced and closed. The incumbent is responsible for gathering all the documents required by administration in order to release orders for invoicing.
• Position requires analyzing and work in solving any issues that may arise in the Purchase Orders, customer orders, or Packing Lists.
• Major goals include keeping the Past Due Invoicing metrics as low as possible.
• Keep record of all shipping/receiving documents
• This position will back up Customer Order / Intercompany Orders entry in the system.
• In addition to the human relation skills already outlined, the incumbent must be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a cooperative and objective attitude. The position requires skill at working with large volumes of numbers and accurately reporting data. Attention to detail in this area is critical, as is a working knowledge of personal computers and current software in the database and spreadsheet areas.
• The incumbent requires the ability communicate professionally and tactfully with different departments, such as Logistics, Purchasing and Administration, and related personnel at all levels of the business. Communications skills, both oral and written, are extremely important.
• The incumbent must also be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and rapidly respond to different situations in order to maintain the level of productivity the position requires.
• Communicate clearly on a regular basis with Valmont representatives and customers concerning Company progress on their projects.

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• College degree 3+ years of relevant experience
• Fluent in English language is desirable. Spoken and written
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
• Detail-oriented organizational skills
• Passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
