Procurement Sr Manager (Mining Industry)

Purpose

Plan, lead and execute the supply of inputs of direct and indirect materials in order to ensure the continuity of the operations of Business Units; complying with the guidelines established by the organization in terms of safety, ethics, quality & cost.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate to define Safety guidelines for suppliers, contractors and services providers and promote their compliance
• Promote Ethics & compliance culture trough his/her role to the Procurement team as well as the rest of the organization. This includes the compliance of all supply chain department processes
• Manage and control the warehouse of supplies and spare parts according to the requirements of our internal customers, as well as the established policies.
• Establish equipment and storage protocols for all warehouses of Koura mining operation as well as promoting activities that contributes to the inventory accuracy
• Lead and coordinate medium-long-term procurement projects for strategic inputs and services, through tools such as market analysis, definition of supply strategy, bidding, negotiations and reverse auctions
• Execute the supplier evaluation strategy and promote growth project for potential partners
• Establish cost control protocols and in general department KPI aligned with company goals with the end goal of generating a continuous improvement cycle
• Run a supplier risk assessment and promote containment activities
• Negotiate economic conditions, basic legal aspects, and service level agreements
• Supervise the activities of all procurement personnel in order to grant the full implementation of policies and procedures

Knowledge and Experience Required

• Bachelor Degree in relevant field of study (Economy, Engineering)

Desirable: Master of Business Administration (Finance) or Engineering in related field.

• Language(s) and level of proficiency: Advanced English
• 3 years in similar position or 5+ years of proven leadership in supply chain related responsibilities
• Mining Industry experience
