Quality Leader (Mexicali)

Responsibilities

Be the voice of the customer, focus improvements using six sigma methodology in customer requirements. Lead process improvements and lean projects. Review and analyze KPI trends with the manufacturing team. Considering the quality trends provides direction in terms of setting work priorities for process enhancement. Provide guidance to manufacturing supervisors and process quality technicians to ensure that effective in-depth investigations are performed. Provide leadership and guidance to cross functional, multilevel technical teams to assure causes of non-conformance are identified and understood as well as follow corrective/preventive actions implemented. Evaluation of the implemented corrective and preventive actions against trends to assess effectiveness of the same.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree on Mechanical Engineering or related areas required. Experienced quality engineer or complementary skills (e.g. product or manufacturing engineering). 5-8 years of relevant experience in similar roles. English (advanced) Deep knowledge of IATF or international regulations Knowledge of quality systems & standards, e.g. ISO/TS 16949. Key metrics knowledge: Overall PPM, customer PPM, Internal PPM, Scrap, PPAP performance, 8D response > 24hrs, Block Stock, ISO TS 16949 certification Strong communicator, externally and internally. Self directed, high interpersonal skills, conflict management skills.
