Our client is a growing home services company specializing in garage door installation and repair, with a strong local reputation and a clear path to scale.

About the Role

Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to run day-to-day operations as the owner's second-in-command, managing technician schedules, customer communications, estimates, and payments from end to end.

This is a high-responsibility, customer-facing role. You'll be the first voice many customers hear, the person coordinating field technicians in real time, and the one making sure every job is scheduled, followed up on, and closed out correctly.

Responsibilities

• Schedule customer appointments and dispatch technicians based on location, availability, and job type
• Manage daily technician schedules, adjusting in real time as jobs are completed, delayed, or added
• Coordinate with field technicians throughout the day so jobs run on time and customers stay informed
• Answer inbound customer calls and serve as backup support during high call volume periods
• Communicate professionally and warmly with customers from first contact through job completion, resolving issues with a solutions-first approach
• Prepare estimates and quotes, follow up on open sales opportunities, and support the owner in closing jobs
• Create invoices, process payments, and maintain clean financial records
• Maintain accurate customer records, job notes, and schedules in Jobber or a similar CRM
• Assist with general administrative and operational tasks as the business grows

What We're Looking For

• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills with a warm, professional, and confident phone presence
• Experience in dispatching, scheduling, or operations management in a service-based business
• Home services industry experience in garage doors, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar trades is strongly preferred
• Proficiency with CRM platforms; Jobber experience is a strong plus
• Strong organizational skills, managing multiple priorities and real-time schedule changes simultaneously
• Comfortable speaking with customers, handling objections, and following up on sales opportunities
• Proactive, dependable, and self-directed, able to own operations without constant oversight

Nice to Have

• Prior experience as an operations manager, office manager, or dispatcher in a home services company
• Familiarity with Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, or similar field service management platforms
• Experience handling customer escalations and resolving service complaints professionally
• Background supporting a small business owner or serving as a second-in-command in a lean team environment

Work Schedule

• 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
• This position operates on a full-time basis , with dedicated hours to ensure alignment with the team and delivery of quality work
• Availability during US business hours , with high availability including reachability outside of standard hours when the situation calls for it

Compensation & Time Off

• Compensation paid in USD
• Paid bi-monthly on the 15th and 30th
• Paid Time Off according to company policy
• Holidays observed according to company guidelines
