The Role

The Senior SEO Specialist is responsible for leading the execution and optimization of SEO strategies that drive measurable improvements in search visibility, rankings, and organic lead volume across assigned client portfolios.

This role goes beyond execution, requiring strategic thinking, performance ownership, and continuous optimization. The Senior SEO Specialist ensures high-quality delivery, refines and evolves SOPs, and proactively identifies opportunities to enhance impact and efficiency.

They collaborate cross-functionally with SEO leadership, Content, Development, and Project Management teams, while also serving as a subject matter expert and mentor, guiding best practices and elevating overall team performance.

You're the One If

You treat every client account like it's your own business. You know rankings mean nothing if they don't produce verified, qualified leads, and you connect every deliverable back to that outcome. You track what actually matters: organic lead volume, cost per lead from search, and rankings for high-intent keywords. You've built SOPs, trained junior specialists, and can spot an A-player within two weeks. You level up constantly, bring new ideas without being asked, and when something's underperforming, you say so clearly. No hiding, no spin.

What You'll Do

SEO Strategy and Execution

• Own full SEO lifecycle across all assigned accounts: audit, strategy, implementation, optimization, and reporting
• Manage on-page, off-page, technical SEO, and Google Business Profile optimization simultaneously
• Review client goals, market competition, and keyword landscape before every engagement. No guessing.
• Validate tracking accuracy across Google Search Console, GA4, call tracking, and CRM attribution before campaigns go live

Performance and Optimization

• Own keyword rankings, organic traffic growth, and verified qualified lead volume across all managed accounts
• Run ongoing tests on content strategy, internal linking, page structure, and local SEO signals
• Monitor and refine keyword targeting, content gaps, and backlink profiles continuously
• Flag underperformance early with a documented action plan. No surprises, no excuses.

Process and Leadership

• Build and document SEO SOPs, QA checklists, and campaign frameworks from day one
• Train and mentor SEO specialists as the team scales under you
• Set clear KPIs for team members and evaluate performance honestly and consistently
• Oversee and guide existing team members on performance standards and deliverable quality

Cross-Team Coordination

• Partner with Client Success on lead quality feedback and client communication
• Coordinate with Web/Dev on technical fixes, page speed, schema, and site structure improvements
• Collaborate with Content on topical authority strategy, content briefs, and publication cadence
• Communicate clearly with Operations and leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities

Internal Campaigns

• Manage LionHead's own organic presence and SEO strategy held to the same standard as client work

How We Measure Success

• Keyword ranking improvements for high-intent, case-driving terms.
• Verified lead volume from organic,local & Ai search per account per month.
• Organic traffic growth month-over-month across managed accounts.
• Tracking accuracy. Zero broken attribution is the standard.
• Documented SEO wins tied directly to client-reported case volume.

Who You Are

Required experience:

• 2–5+ years of SEO management at a marketing agency.
• Demonstrated results. Before/after ranking and organic lead data from accounts you've directly owned.
• Experience with legal, local, or high-intent service industries strongly preferred.
• Deep command of on-page SEO, technical SEO, local SEO, link building, Google Business Profile, GSC, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, and schema markup.
• Experience building and documenting SEO SOPs and training materials.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
