Sr Cooling Engineer (Tijuana)

Resumen: This role will collaborate across the facility with different areas to ensure the suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of laboratory policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop product performance improvements that represent savings for the company or solve customer complaints.
• Leads and manages research and development projects related to the engineering and operation of the product.
• Perform tests on sub-assemblies, prototypes and/or products to validate their performance.
• Document laboratory procedures.
• Conduct research on innovative refrigeration topics and trends.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to other departments.
• Teach technical training courses on topics related to thermodynamics, refrigeration, and product knowledge.
• Defines product performance Requirement.
• Oversee laboratory test execution activities to ensure accurate and consistent testing procedures.
• In charge of supervising the various work roles in charge, as well as the development of knowledge and updates.
• Review and approval of testing methods, techniques, and equipment to ensure compliance with product standards and regulations.
• Conducts regular internal audits and inspections of laboratory practices, equipment, and documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
• Participate in the development and validation of new testing methods, processes, and protocols.
• Collaborate with external accrediting bodies, customers, and stakeholders to address quality-related concerns and ensure compliance with standards such as UL, CSA, NSF.
• Maintain oversight of the testing laboratory document control system to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Ensure the accuracy, reliability and compliance of test procedures and results, in accordance with established standards and reporting.
• In charge of approving the tests that are performed in the laboratory.
• Participate in the customer complaint resolution process.
• Prepare critical and key performance indicators.
