Job Description – AWS Cloud Solution Architect

We are seeking a senior AWS Cloud Solution Architect to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The role involves translating client business requirements into technical solutions, designing secure and compliant cloud architectures, and collaborating across stakeholders.

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico – Hybrid

Experience Level: Senior (10+ Years)

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into specific systems, application and process designs.
• Analyze client requirements and design solutions that meet objectives.
• Balance sales and delivery needs to deliver solutions that meet or exceed requirements.
• Design, develop and implement total system solutions for enterprise‑wide technical needs.
• Integrate hardware, processes, methodologies and software within client environments.
• Lead deployment and ensure technical accuracy and completeness of integrated designs.
• Design end‑to‑end solutions aligned with business objectives, risk tolerance and regulatory requirements.
• Translate security requirements into technical architectures across infrastructure, applications, cloud and data environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure secure solution delivery.
• Evaluate and select technologies that support secure integration, threat mitigation and operational resilience.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Develop architectural documentation including diagrams, security models and implementation guidelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to system design, data flow and third‑party integrations.
• Support incident response and recovery planning and embed resilience into design decisions.
• Guide development and operations teams on secure implementation practices and standards.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
• Lead consulting engagements for moderate‑complexity technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or software design.
• Strong understanding of software development, cloud computing and system integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in architectural frameworks and modeling tools (TOGAF, UML).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or TOGAF.
• Experience with microservices, APIs and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM or data platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data governance.
