Chester & Black is representing by a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier to identify a Business Development Manager for their Mexican operation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a proactive business development role, not an account management position. Our client has an established manufacturing footprint and programmes already running. What they need is someone to open doors that aren't open yet — new OEM and Tier 1 relationships, new nominations, and new business won from a standing start.

The commercial function here is being built rather than maintained. Whoever takes this on will have real latitude over which markets and accounts to pursue, and visibility with senior leadership from day one.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across OEM and Tier 1 accounts in Mexico
• Own the full commercial cycle: prospecting, RFQ, quotation, nomination and launch handover
• Build relationships at purchasing, engineering and executive level
• Work with internal engineering and costing teams to develop competitive, feasible proposals
• Represent the business at industry events and in direct client visits

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven track record winning new automotive business, with quantifiable wins rather than inherited portfolio
• Technical grounding in plastic injection moulding
• Experience selling into Tier 1s and OEMs in the Mexican market
• Professional-level English, working with international stakeholders
• Based in Querétaro or genuinely willing to relocate
