B2B Marketing & Events Specialist - Chinese Solar Energy Company

About the opportunity

Our client is a major Chinese state-owned enterprise with a rapidly growing business presence in Mexico. As the company continues to expand its solar-energy and renewable-energy activities in the local market, it is strengthening its local marketing capabilities to support business development, customer engagement and long-term growth. The company is now looking for a hands-on B2B Marketing & Events Manager to become its first local marketing hire in Mexico. This is an individual-contributor position with no immediate team-management responsibilities. The successful candidate will personally execute exhibitions, localized content, digital marketing, lead-generation activities and sales-support initiatives, while also helping develop the company’s local marketing plan. Working closely with the Mexico sales team and international stakeholders, this position will help turn marketing activities into measurable commercial opportunities and strengthen the company’s visibility within Mexico’s solar and renewable-energy ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Mexico marketing plan in alignment with business-development and sales priorities.
• Plan and manage the company’s participation in major industry exhibitions and conferences, including events such as Intersolar, RE+ and The Green Expo.
• Personally coordinate exhibition preparation and execution, including suppliers, event partners, promotional materials, on-site activities and post-event follow-up.
• Manage the company’s local social-media channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, as well as relevant website content.
• Create and localize Spanish-language brochures, case studies, presentations, product materials and other sales-enablement content.
• Work with internal technical and commercial teams to translate technical information into clear, commercially relevant marketing materials.
• Plan and execute lead-generation activities, capture and qualify marketing leads, and ensure effective handover and follow-up with the sales team.
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant industry associations, chambers of commerce and business organizations, including ASOLMEX and CANACINTRA.
• Support the sales team in organizing customer visits, technical seminars, project showcases and stakeholder meetings.
• Plan and execute integrated online and offline campaigns to strengthen brand awareness and generate market engagement.
• Coordinate agencies, designers, suppliers, event partners and internal stakeholders to deliver marketing activities on time and within budget.
• Track campaign performance, event outcomes, lead quality, channel engagement and marketing ROI, and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on B2B marketing experience in solar energy, renewable energy, power, infrastructure, engineering or industrial solutions.
• Demonstrated experience personally planning and executing B2B exhibitions, industry conferences, technical seminars or other customer-facing events.
• Experience across multiple marketing activities, including event marketing, content development, digital channels, lead generation and sales enablement.
• Strong Spanish copywriting and content-development skills, with the ability to turn technical information into clear and commercially relevant materials.
• Hands-on experience managing social-media channels, website content and digital marketing campaigns.
• Good understanding of how marketing supports a project-based B2B sales cycle and contributes to lead generation and commercial opportunities.
• Experience working with industry associations, chambers of commerce or renewable-energy organizations in Mexico is preferred.
• Existing relationships within Mexico’s solar, renewable-energy or industrial ecosystem would be an advantage.
• Fluent Spanish and working proficiency in English.
• Based in Mexico City and available for occasional travel related to exhibitions, customers and other business activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field is preferred.
