We are seeking a visionary Editorial Lead to launch and direct a regional digital entertainment publication on behalf of a world-leading global streaming platform. In this role, you will define the local editorial voice, adapt global brand playbooks for Mexican audiences, and oversee a fast-paced newsroom covering television, film, and digital pop culture. You will serve as the primary creative lead bridging daily communications with international client stakeholders while embedding advanced Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) across all digital content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, launch, and maintain the overarching editorial line, content strategy, and publishing calendar for the Mexican market.
• Review, edit, and QA all published pieces (syndicated localized content, transcreations, and original features) to enforce strict editorial standards and brand tone.
• Lead and mentor a lean newsroom squad of digital journalists, video producers, and project managers.
• Establish newsroom guidelines for SEO and GEO (entity tagging, structured Q&A formatting, and authoritative lore citations) to maximize search engine rankings and AI answer engine citations.
• Maintain daily bilingual alignment with international client publishing teams and agency leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years leading digital editorial teams, entertainment newsrooms, or cultural media platforms in Mexico.
• Bilingual Fluency: Advanced/fluent written and spoken English and Spanish (mandatory for international stakeholder collaboration).
• Deep, intuitive expertise in Mexican pop culture, streaming series, cinema, and online fan communities.
• Proven track record in data-informed editorial strategy, digital analytics, SEO principles, and generative search visibility.
