Position Objective & Summary

The Event & Marketing Manager is the physical orchestrator of XPENG’s brand presence and reputation in Mexico. Your mission is to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and ground-level execution, transforming XPENG’s identity from a "new player" into a "premier AI mobility leader." This role sits at the heart of brand experience, requiring a unique blend of strategic PR storytelling, high-stakes event management, and meticulous marketing operations. You will be responsible for bringing the brand to life through immersive media experiences, ensuring consistency across all communication channels and maintaining XPENG’s integrity in a fast-evolving market.

Key Responsibilities

• PR Strategy & Brand Guardianship

  • Architect the Image: Build and refine XPENG’s public image in Mexico, focusing on our core pillars of EV technology, intelligence, and safety.

  • Global-Local Alignment: Act as the strategic bridge between the Mexico subsidiary and Global HQ to ensure all communication is unified and impactful.

  • Reputation Management: Develop and manage long-term programs designed to strengthen brand equity and consumer trust.

• Automotive Media Relations & Experiential PR

  • Cultivate Specialist Networks: Build deep, lasting relationships with automotive, technology, business, and mainstream media to secure high-quality coverage.

  • High-Impact Media Programs: Lead the execution of media briefings, exclusive interviews, and product technology sessions.

  • The Test Drive Experience: Own the end-to-end planning of media test-drive events, coordinating seamlessly with distributors and agencies to showcase vehicle performance.

• Crisis & Public Opinion Management

  • Proactive Monitoring: Keep a pulse on EV-related public sentiment, specifically regarding safety, charging infrastructure, and autonomous driving.

  • Response Leadership: Lead local crisis response efforts in close collaboration with HQ to mitigate risks and protect the brand’s narrative.

• Content Governance & Technical Storytelling

  • Narrative Precision: Prepare and review high-quality press releases, Q&As, official statements, and technical content.

  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all communication materials comply with global standards and resonate with the local Mexican market.

  • Performance Tracking: Manage media coverage KPIs and evaluate the ROI of PR events and technology showcases.

• Marketing Operations & Execution Excellence

  • Full-Cycle Coordination: Lead the administrative logistics for all marketing campaigns, offline events, and brand activities.

  • Operational Rigor: Oversee budget applications, venue selection, vendor management, and the preparation of promotional materials to ensure on-schedule and compliant execution.

   

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, or Media. Automotive industry experience is mandatory.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

• Languages: Native-level Spanish and Excellent English writing/communication skills are required.

• Skills: Strong team collaboration and cross-departmental communication skills; ability to navigate complex tasks under high intensity.

• Expertise: Deep familiarity with both traditional and social media operations, with the ability to capture and leverage emerging media trends.

• Mindset: A crisis-ready leader with strong emergency response capabilities and a detail-oriented approach to project management.
