Ingeniero EHS

Reporting directly to the EHS Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards at the Matehuala facility.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess health, safety, and environmental risks within the facility.
• Develop, implement, and update EHS procedures and work instructions.
• Support and participate in EHS audits and compliance activities.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (STPS, SEMARNAT, etc.).
• Maintain and support ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 systems.
• Deliver EHS training programs and awareness initiatives.
• Investigate incidents, support root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and evaluate safety performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stop unsafe operations, equipment, or activities when risks are identified.
• Conduct preventive evaluations of equipment and facilities.
• Identify unsafe practices and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Support development and enforcement of EHS policies and internal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in EHS or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of EHS legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Certifications in environmental, health, and safety regulations preferred.
• Experience delivering training and safety programs.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical standards.
