Senior Price Reporter, Americas Chemicals (Xico)

About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 10. The Senior Price Reporter will be part of the dynamic chemicals pricing team, responsible for daily physical trading activity and key pricing benchmarks.

Responsibilities and Impact

The market reporter gathers, tests, and publishes price information in real-time, and obtains an understanding of supply-demand fundamentals through daily interactions with primary market participants.

They conduct price assessments based on established methodology, contribute to its development, and write and lead insightful market commentaries, news, and analysis pieces.

The reporter is also expected to participate in multi‑media coverage such as webinars and presentations, represent Commodity Insights at industry events, engage with market participants, and build and manage a database of industry contacts.

The role involves identifying opportunities to refine methodology and launch new price assessments to advance growth in the Chemicals team.

Travel opportunities include attending industry events and conferences internationally and representing the company as a speaker.

Basic Required Qualifications:

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or knowledge of the chemicals, polymer or refining sectors or a keen interest in commodities and global commodity markets.
• Knowledge of economic principles.
• Strong numeracy skills, including the ability to understand basic principles of statistics.
• Written and oral fluency in Spanish and Portuguese is a plus, while English fluency is required.
