Engineering Manager – Advanced Automation

A global manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the development and implementation of advanced automation solutions across high-volume production environments

This role will be responsible for leading automation development projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with global engineering standards, operational excellence, and strong financial outcomes. The position will play a critical role in shaping future manufacturing technologies, improving process efficiency, and supporting global expansion initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automation development
• 3+ years of experience leading teams
• Knowledge of electrical design documentation systems
• Familiarity with PLC and PC-based programming languages
• Pneumatic knowledge
• User-level proficiency in Windows OS and MS Office
• Confident communication skills, teamwork, accountability, information sharing, analytical skills, creativity, flexibility
• Knowledge of EPLAN system
• Familiarity with CE certification process
• Advanced English communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electrical design platforms such as EPLAN.
• Familiarity with machine safety and international compliance standards (CE or equivalent).
• Experience supporting global or multi-site manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop equipment based on automation guidelines and global process standards
• Drive transformation equipment development through advanced processes and automations
• Provide technical expertise and available know-how in any internal or external development
• Further development of knowledge and level understanding of integrated system engineering
• Identify and provide improvements in product design which support automation of the current and future processes
• Lead and support research for suitable automation partners in the region
• Develop and provide guidance for proper utilization of Automation guideline
• Ensure availability of documented design reviews for any equipment or automation solution before realization with requestor and executor of development
• Lead implementation of the new automation technologies in the plants by involvement local teams, training and support
• Lead reporting of the automation during ramp up phase or 90 days after factory acceptance
