Used cars Platform and Commercial Evolution Deputy Director

General Description:

The Deputy Director – Used Cars, Remarketing & Commercial Evolution will lead the end-to-end implementation and operational management of the used vehicle ecosystem, including the digital marketplace, remarketing strategy, and commercial capability development. This role is responsible for defining scalable processes, maximizing asset value throughout the vehicle lifecycle, enhancing dealer and customer experiences, and driving commercial excellence through sales enablement, training initiatives, and performance management. The position will play a critical role in accelerating growth, strengthening dealer network engagement, and ensuring sustainable profitability across all used car business channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Implementation & Operations: Lead the rollout and stabilization of the app-based used car marketplace.
• Own day-to-day performance of the platform, including volume, conversion, and customer experience KPIs.
• Benchmark against market-leading platforms to maintain clear differentiators and eliminate gaps that reduce profitability.
• Define and execute the remarketing strategy to maximize residual values, inventory turnover, and profitability across all used vehicle channels.
• Monitor business metrics and identify improvement opportunities to maximize profitability.
• Develop and manage strong relationships with dealer partners to ensure active participation and inventory quality.
• Design scalable, customer-centric processes with a digital-first mindset.
• Generate insights and actionable recommendations based on performance data.
• Define the optimal customer and dealer journey for both B2C and C2C models.
• Monitor commercial performance indicators and identify training needs to close capability gaps and improve execution.

Education/Certifications:

• Business related degree.

Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or related field is highly desirable.

Previous Work Experience

• Proven track record (+7 years) in automotive, financial services and digital marketplace/e-commerce environments, preferably with exposure to used car or asset-based businesses.

• Language: English Advance Level
• Travel: <40%

Must have:

• Proven experience leading commercial transformation, sales enablement, or dealer development initiatives.
• Strong understanding of used car ecosystem, dealer networks, and/or automotive financing.
• Experience managing commercial relationships (dealers, partners, sales teams).
• Solid analytical skills with ability to translate data into business actions.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of digital lending / embedded finance solutions.
• Knowledge of digital retailing platforms and omnichannel automotive sales models.
• Exposure to CX design and customer journey optimization.

Computer Skills: Office, data analysis tools, familiarity with digital platforms / app-based environments and customer journeys.
