Manager (Reynosa)

The Manager Supply Chain Management will lead the development and implementation of the SCM strategy for the plant in Reynosa, Mexico, to facilitate the cost‑effective flow of merchandise from suppliers to customers. This role will be responsible for planning, purchasing and logistics. It reports to the Plant Manager in Reynosa.

Core area of responsibility

• Overall responsible for the coordination and control of the logistic supply chain and processes related to raw material replenishment and finished product within the Plant
• Expertise domain to support production planning, purchasing and logistic team, as well as Import‑Export and Customs
• Consolidates material constraints status, sets priorities and manages escalation
• Works in close cooperation with Value Stream Managers to achieve objectives related to delivery performance, inventories and logistics costs
• Liaises with Sales organization on demand management and customer delivery
• Performs material planning for suppliers and internal operational/production plans
• Manages purchasing and forecasting activities
• Assures flawless material supply to the production
• Monitors and liaises with Global Procurement to ensure material availability
• Assures special customer transport and delivery requirements
• Schedules and executes transportation according to customer requirements
• Is responsible for inventory management and elimination of excess and obsolete material
• Minimises dispatch, transport and packing costs
• Supports development and maintenance of new processes and intercompany SLAs
• Realises on‑time, qualitative and cost‑efficient deliveries to customers
• Contributes to the development of the organization’s overall supply and logistics strategy
• Ensures performance improvement and recovery plans are developed, issued, tracked and reported on as required for supply‑base management and improvement
• Anticipates potential problems and risks, generates ideas, insights and solutions, and implements decisive actions
• Provides technical expertise and advice to functional or operational area managers to help them achieve successful deliveries
• Identifies and implements strategies to continuously improve SCM
• Develops and builds a culture of engagement at all levels to provide a highly energized, flexible team that meets changing business needs
• Works according to the Integrated Management System, including ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K and related standards
