Engineer, Marketing Analytics (Xico)

Role Overview

Marketing Analytics Engineer plays a central role in managing the data pipelines, data strategy, and tooling development for CRM Marketing Analytics within the Marketing Intelligence team.This role requires working with technical and nontechnical stakeholders and being able to prioritise globally.You will work with more than just CRM data as teams are very interested in HBO Max Subscriber and Engagement data and its connection to CRM.You will be the data expert and work closely with CRM analysts on your larger team and also crossfunctionally with the Product Retention and Engagement teams to tell larger stories around CRM performance against business KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other marketing, analytics, and technology teams to identify innovative data solutions that meet fluctuating and rapidly evolving goals and objectives.
• Work closely with marketing business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver insightful and effective dashboards and data visualisations.
• Design and implement logical semanticlayer models and data transformations to support flexible selfservice reporting.
• Support data visualisation development to enrich our analytics platform (Looker) as the single source of truth.
• Support the adoption and training of our analytics platform for selfservice data discovery and reporting.
• Build relational semantic layer datasets using Look ML and SQL to enable performant and adaptable reporting underlying our visualisations.
• Conduct QA of our visualisations against inplatform and across our data pipeline to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Participate in the creation and support of BI development standards and best practices.
• Continually research and improve new methods and enhancements to our analytics platform and visualisations to drive innovative, datadriven storytelling.
• Rapidly deliver on new concepts through prototyping that can be presented for feedback and iteration.
• Create and maintain documentation for all levels of our business to best illustrate our complex data solutions and reporting processes.

Skills Needed

• 3-5 years of relevant experience of data analysis and delivering business intelligence and dashboard solutions
• 3+ years of Looker or equivalent BI data visualisation development and design
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehousing (Snowflake, Big Query)
• Understanding of the digital media ecosystem and subscription business model
• Proficient in data manipulation & datawrangling using SQL
• Experience working with semistructured or semiunstructured data
• Excellent problemsolving skills and initiative
• Proven ability to collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to define metrics, identify requirements and solve problems independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
