Payroll Sr. Specialist (2-year contract)

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to deliver services to more than 6,000 employees in Mexico. The role supports the Share Service team, adheres to LEGO’s values, and ensures adherence to payroll policies and regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Guarantee all payroll inputs are processed correctly and on time for more than 6,000 Mexican employees.


• Operate according to payroll policies, ensuring compliance.


• Handle incidents, escalations, and special requests; prepare root‑cause analyses and implement preventive measures.


• Develop business contingency plans for natural incidents, legal or technological changes to ensure uninterrupted employee payments.


• Maintain high customer‑service quality and tone of voice.


• Collaborate with colleagues as a team player.


• Prepare metrics and reporting analyses around payroll.


• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll calculations and data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.


• Relevant payroll or human‑resources experience.


• Project‑management experience.


• Understanding of Mexican payroll, regulatory environment, and tax rules.


• Experience working with payroll vendors (e.g., EPI Use).


• Knowledge of Kronos, SAP, ServiceNow, Workday.


• Excellent time‑management skills with ability to prioritize and multi‑task.
