Sales Director

Sales Director Model: Hybrid in Guadalajara or Mexico cityRole OverviewAs a Sales Director at Capgemini Engineering, you support the growth of our engineering and R&D services business by identifying and qualifying opportunities, contributing to proposal development and engaging with clients and internal teams. You are expected to take initiative, manage smaller pursuits independently and support larger pursuits under the guidance of senior sales leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and qualify new opportunities in target accounts and industries
• Take ownership of smaller pursuits and support larger ones through coordination, content development and follow-up
• Prepare impactful client presentations and proposals using PowerPoint and other tools
• Collaborate with solutioning, delivery and pre-sales teams to shape client-centric responses
• Participate in RFP/RFI responses, pricing discussions and bid management activities
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and client contacts
• Track pipeline activity and contribute to accurate sales forecasting and reporting

Experience & Qualifications

• 14-16 years of professional experience with at least 10 years in a sales, pre-sales or client-facing role, ideally in engineering, technology or consulting services
• Proven experienced in selling solutions around: digital manufacturing, software product engineering, systems engineering incl. mechanical and physical engineering, hardware, embedded software
• Demonstrated contribution to sales quota attainment, either through direct ownership of smaller deals or as a key contributor in larger pursuits
• Strong skills in PowerPoint and proposal writing, with attention to structure, clarity and storytelling
• Native Spanish speaker with fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable taking initiative within a structured sales process
• Familiarity with CRM tools and sales governance processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field

• Masters negotiations and consulting skills e.g., ASE to align clients and sponsors in the closing of a deal
• Is able to negotiate at CxO level for strategic deals
• Goes beyond closing deals and tries to build long term relationships with clients, acting as an advisor vs. salesperson
• Thinks big deals and mega deals shaping to meet new expectations and create value for both the client and Capgemini, but also being comfortable with walking away from unqualified deals
• Clearly communicates expectations towards sales team members, supports in finding sales opportunities, creates the conditions to success and manages commitment
