Retail Asset Management Intern

HASTA Capital is seeking a highly motivated Asset Management Intern to join our Multifamily & Retail Team in Mexico City. This is a part-time, on-site opportunity designed for students interested in real estate, portfolio management, and operational analysis, providing hands-on exposure to institutional real estate investments and asset management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Asset Management team in managing and monitoring multifamily and retail portfolios.
• Prepare and update operational and performance reports.
• Assist in property performance analysis and the preparation of materials for investor and executive meetings.
• Participate in data collection and reporting processes for lenders and auditors.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including property managers, brokers, and tenants.
• Attend weekly meetings with property teams and support ongoing asset management initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field.
• Between the 6th and 8th semester of the program.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) for communication with international teams.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in:
• Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and financial models)
• Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
• Basic finance and accounting concepts
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
