Dingus & Zazzy is a comprehensive digital marketing agency, but here’s the thing most agencies won’t tell you: having a website isn’t a strategy. Neither is posting on Instagram three times a week. A blog without a traffic plan is a diary. A newsletter nobody opens is a chore. Every tactic we run exists to answer one question: how does this move someone from ”never heard of you” to “shut up and take my money”? That’s the job. Blogs feed SEO. SEO feeds traffic. Traffic feeds the funnel. The funnel feeds revenue. If a tactic doesn’t connect to that chain, we don’t run it just to look busy. We provide an unlimited get-shit-done subscription, minus the shit that doesn’t get anyone anywhere.

Purpose of the Role

The Brand Operator combines client relationship ownership with hands-on marketing production. You are the client’s main point of contact and one of the people actually making the work happen. This role exists because most agencies force clients to choose between “someone who understands your brand” and “someone who can execute.” We don’t think that tradeoff should exist, and neither will you.

• Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• A background in marketing is essential
• Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, specifically) as part of your daily workflow as a way to move faster and think better

The Skill Requirements

You need real, hands-on proficiency in at least 3–4 of the following:

• Short-form video editing (Reels, TikTok, etc)
• Social media strategy, content creation, and scheduling
• Newsletter writing and editing
• Brand strategy and positioning
• Copywriting (web, ads, email, social)
• Design fundamentals (Canva, Figma, or similar)
• Basic analytics and reporting (knowing what a number means, not just where to find it)

Coordination skills alone will not meet the bar for this role. We already know you can manage a project. We need to know what you can build .

Main Objectives

1. Client Relationship Ownership

• Serve as the primary point of contact for your clients, understanding their goals well enough to make calls without needing a meeting first
• Run regular check-ins, reviews, and strategy conversations that actually move the account forward, not just status updates
• Translate client goals into a point of view, not just a task list

2. Hands-On Production

• Personally execute against your core skills (video, social, newsletter, copy, brand, design, wherever you excel)
• Use AI tools, especially Claude, to speed up ideation, drafting, and iteration. We want to see how you think with AI as a collaborator, not just how fast you can type a prompt
• Maintain a quality bar on your own output before it goes to review, not after

3. Internal Collaboration

• Work with designers, copywriters, media buyers, and other Operators to fill gaps outside your core skills
• Keep project tools (ClickUp and similar) current and accurate without needing to be chased
• Give and receive direct feedback — we skip the sandwich method here

4. Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving

• Help shape brand and marketing strategy for your accounts, not just execute against someone else’s plan
• Continuously look for workflow improvements, especially ones involving AI, that let you do more without more hours
• Manage multiple accounts without letting them quietly rot

• Our operating hours are from 9 am to 5 pm MST, Mon day to Friday.
• The minimum level of written & spoken English required for this role is professional .
