Maintenance Engineer (Monterrey)

Deacero USA, a steel product manufacturer in the mining and metals industry, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment and infrastructure on site. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our facilities run smoothly and efficiently, providing safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all equipment and infrastructure
• Oversee and manage the maintenance team, ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance and repair issues across the facility
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs
• Plan and execute equipment upgrades and installations as needed
• Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance and repair services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role in the mining and metals industry
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standard maintenance procedures
• Proven leadership and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software
