What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Value Stream Manager will be located in Juarez, Mexico and is the primary lead for multiple product lines, responsible for developing strategic direction and leading key manufacturing processes to ensure production objectives are met according to safety, quality and customer requirements. The Value Stream Manager supports the operation’s strategic plan by providing specific product designs into finished products that meet customer order requirements, product quality standards, and product delivery commitments. The Value Stream Manager also serves as the tactical liaison between the Plant Manager and production supervisors while leading others in achieving organizational goals and must know how to lead a team and will coach the value stream’s High Performance Work Teams to establish and maintain a positive, engaged team sentiment through application of Eaton’s Values, Ethics, and Philosophies and empowering the Team members to make decisions, innovate, and work in a continuous learning environment through implementation of Continuous Improvement Framework, which includes the ELSS tools, Tier meetings, leader standard work, and Gemba-style process checks. Motivated self-starter coordinates with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements. Drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. Leverages resources and motivates personnel to create a high-performance culture. Highly visible to the Plant Manager and above.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• You will ensure production objectives are met within approved budget, schedules, and quality specifications.
• You will develop improvements in production methods, standards and procedures to ensure effective use of resources.
• You will deploy MESH initiatives to support a Zero Incident Culture.
• You will foster a high-performing work team culture throughout the facility.
• You will implement Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) tools.
• You will develop and maintain a trained, quality-centered manufacturing workforce.
• You will facilitate regular production meetings to review order progress and to resolve outstanding order issues to meet on-time shipment commitments.
• The Value Stream Manager will be responsible for managing performance of multi-product line manufacturing operations between Frontera and Sensors operations, with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity. The Value Stream Manager (VSM) must have a continuous improvement mindset while overseeing day-to-day activities and leverage other functions to achieve plant’s objectives.
• Leads and is responsible for the Manufacturing Engineering team, ensuring proper execution of strategies and operational support.
• Accountable for ensuring the effective execution of Cost Out projects, focused on cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Leads and oversees Capital projects, ensuring proper planning, approval, and execution aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 5+ years’ experience managing people and/or project teams
• 3+ years’ cross-functional experience with scheduling, engineering and customer service functions
• Must be Bi-lingual (English & Spanish)

Preferable Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
• 3 years of experience supporting engineered-to-order products
• Lean Six Sigma certified
• Leadership experience in a high accountability culture and metrics driven environment, operations and basic finance skills.
