Back End Engineer - USA Relocation

Definity is adding an experienced Back-End Engineer to help build and enhance scalable backend services for a mission-critical manufacturing platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing high-performance systems, working with modern event-driven architectures, and solving complex backend challenges using technologies such as C# or Go , relational databases, and AI-assisted development tools.

Important Considerations:

• Relocation to the  United States, Fremont California  is required, TN Visa sponsorship provided
• This opportunity is open to candidates based in Mexico with a valid Mexican passport and an active visa (tourist or otherwise)
• Bachelor's degree and professional license (cédula profesional)

What you bring

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development.
• Strong experience developing backend applications using C# or Go (GoLang).
• Experience working with MySQL or similar relational database management systems, including database schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ .
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or similar.
• Advanced English proficiency with strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redis.
• Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of scalable backend architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience building secure, high-performance APIs and backend services.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for mission-critical manufacturing systems.
• Build reliable APIs and backend components using modern development practices.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas while ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain event-driven solutions using technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve engineering productivity.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, security, and performance in production environments.
