What impact you’ll make

As a member of the Materials & Processes Engineering team at QTC, you will be an active contributor to support product quality and leverage technology in the GE Vernova Gas Power portfolio, accelerating problem‑solving and sustaining execution across multiple business priorities.

What you’ll do

• Execute Materials Analysis Requests for GE Vernova technology products.
• Document component conditions through professional photo‑documentation.
• Perform metallographic sample preparation for components related to Package, Accessories, and Gas Turbines.
• Support cost‑out and product robustness initiatives through material characterization and data analysis.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory quality and processing tools to ensure equipment readiness.
• Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols within the laboratory environment.
• Assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and continuous improvement projects to deepen process understanding.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Currently enrolled as a bachelor student in the final semesters (with at least 1 year to graduate) of an Engineering degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary team environments.
• Fundamental knowledge of testing and characterization principles, including optical/inverted/electron microscopy, hardness testing, and infrared spectroscopy.
• Proven familiarity with metallographic sample preparation techniques.

Eligibility Requirements

• Due to the nature of failure analysis and laboratory characterization, this is a 100% on‑site role at the QTC facility.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
