Overview of the Position:

Ensure compliance with the legal requirements applicable to the company when executing import and transfer operations of goods temporarily and definitively, under the IMMEX program, follow up on processes and procedures within the legal framework guaranteeing compliance for the entry of goods or assets.

Essential Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• 1. Prepare and review import invoices in the different modalities (maritime, air, land, virtual) according to the user's requirements, considering at all times the customs compliance of the operations.
• 2. Control, follow-up, and manage the closure of invoices and import data uploads in the IMMEX Annex 24 system.
• 3. Ensure the correct clearance of operations for IMMEX companies based on the current legal framework and their correct treatment within Foreign Trade Inventory Control.
• 4. Review and approve the legal information contained in the import declarations based on Annex 19.
• 5. Integrate and review that the physical and electronic import files comply with the guidelines established in the law and applicable rules to support the legal stay and possession of the merchandise, as well as the materiality of the operations.
• 6. Receive, review, and process the expense accounts of the Customs Agents (Fees, customs taxes and payments to third parties, among others), in order to provide truthful and well-founded information for decision-making.
• 7. Perform audits of import files and special operations to ensure complete legal documentation in each operation.
• 8. Participate in the process of analyzing information and generating certificates of origin for USMCA purposes.
• 9. Periodically review the tariff classification of goods in order to determine possible variations or corrections to the fractions in the part numbers of the import database.
• 10. Follow up and manage the submaquila process, reports to VUCEM and follow-up of balances.
• 11. Manage and control reports to INEGI.
• 12. Support in the review and monitoring of changes in the waste, shrinkage and burr regime of the production process.
• 13. Involvement in procedures before authorities for the achievement of the clearance of goods. (SEMARNAT, MINISTRY OF ECONOMY, SHyCP, among others)
• 14. Application of mechanisms for the mitigation of customs taxes, and their correct control. (R8va, PROSEC, USMCA)
• 15. Availability to support parallel areas of foreign trade.
• 16. Contribute to the organization's culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• 17. Contribute to the achievement of the organization's environmental objectives through proper compliance with internal environmental procedures and policy, as well as the legal and governmental requirements that apply in environmental matters.

Job Requirements:

Level of Education and Experience (Preferred)

• 1. Required education: Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, and/or international trade.
• 2. Five years of experience in foreign trade operational processes (import and export), traffic and logistics, tariff classification and free trade agreements.
• 3. Knowledge in: Customs Law, General Rules of Foreign Trade, New Customs Regulations, IMMEX Decree, PROSEC Decree, USMCA.

• 5. Tariff Item Systems
• 6. Knowledge of ERP (MK, Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards)
