Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Charter Operations Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of charter operations. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional client satisfaction, strict adherence to company policies, and maximizing profitability. The candidate needs to work well in a team environment, supporting colleagues in various global locations. A good understanding of airfreight rules and regulations is a must and understanding the chartering of aircraft is certainly welcome. The successful candidate will lead operational activities in the region as well as globally, ensuring efficient execution and continuous improvement across all charter services.

Principal accountabilities :

• Manage day-to-day charter operations, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of all flights and services
• Delivering outstanding client experiences by maintaining high service standards and responding proactively to client needs
• Negotiate with Airlines/Suppliers on contractual/business arrangements according to corporate policy and local regulatory requirements
• Work closely with Heads of other departments/business units to generate business leads
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures
• Cooperate with a team of charter operations professionals, providing assistance and support
• Optimize operational efficiency to maximize profitability while maintaining service quality
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (sales, network planning, finance) and external partners (airlines, brokers, service providers)
• Monitor operational performance metrics and implement improvements where needed
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost savings, and revenue growth
• Manage risk and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
• Prepare operational reports and provide insights to senior leadership

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in charter operations, aviation logistics, or a similar role
• Strong leadership and team management experience
• In-depth understanding of aviation regulations and best operational practices
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Proficiency in operational systems and Microsoft Office tools
