Project Manager (Bilingual: English/Spanish)

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Project Manager.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the management and successful execution of Plant projects portfolio (STP, NPI, VAVE) and lead the PROLaunch OpA category as Plant Champion. The PM manages all stages for the project from initiation, strategy, planning, execution, validation, launch, closure. In addition, requirements changes, risk mitigation, and issue tracking/resolution. This position reports to the Program Manager and is accountable for the oversight of the cross‑functional activities managing shared resources across multiple projects and functions to drive on‑time industrialization and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross‑functional team on project planning/execution aligned to scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality requirements. Work with other departments at the Plant and Divisional level (Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, EHS, Facilities, PLS, Finance, HR, IT, Suppliers, etc.) following PROLaunch standard.
• Lead Risk Management for the project, working proactively with functional teams identifying risks and implementing appropriate risk responses to achieve project targets.
• Ensure standard program management processes are utilized and provide support to the team by coordinating PM reviews, preparing and publishing PM metrics and project reports.
• Develop and monitor detail Project Schedule/Plan to track progress and milestone achievement.
• Ensure the team follows the PROLaunch standard, including Activity Matrix deliverables and lead the team during stages and Gate Review.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation as part of Repository Folder.
• Work with key suppliers impacting the project to drive schedule attainment and action tracking to remove roadblocks for execution.
• Financial acumen to complete required capital appropriation request for the project working in alignment with Finance function.
• Communicate and provide periodic project status reports and escalation to project stakeholders per Project Communications Plan.
• Understand project impact to the business and identify impact of project changes to other projects within the Plant.
• Drive the implementation of company standard tools to improve Program Management performance at the site. Monitor compliance with engineering standards, company policies and procedures (PM CoE).
• Deploy OpA PROLaunch Category requirements and work on action plan to continuously improve the plant level. OpA PROLaunch Champion.
• Establish objectives, goals, and provide direction to the project teams in areas of customer needs, potential changes in scope and risk assessment.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Education Level Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (or equivalent qualifications). Master’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Years and Area of Experience Required

A minimum of 5 years of program management leadership skills with the ability to manage both horizontally and vertically within a complex matrix organization.

A minimum of 5 years of experience and proved proficiency in Microsoft Project.

Experience in executing Project Management Methodology (Eaton PROLaunch, PMI).

Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Technical Knowledge

Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP).

Agile training or certification.

Fully demonstrating and proficient in Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools.

Experience on New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Transitions (STP).

Product Lifecycle knowledge.

MS Project software for project scheduling.

Experience in Plant Start‑up (preferred).

Experience with Load Center and Metering products (preferred).

Skills

Well‑developed communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management.

Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and business acumen.

Must be able to achieve goals by working collaboratively and cross‑functionally. Team player.

Must be capable of working effectively in diverse cultural situations with our general team members.
