Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations
• Supporting financial reporting, close, compliance, and internal control activities
• Maintaining the integrity of accounting records
• Managing the monthly close process
• Supervising accounting staff
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP
• Working closely with the Director of Finance to support internal controls, audit readiness, process improvements, and accounting system optimization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or equivalent accounting certification preferred
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial close processes
• Experience managing month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience working with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred)
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Experience supporting internal controls and audit processes
• Experience with multi-entity organizations
• Experience with accounting process documentation
• Experience working with distributed or offshore accounting teams
• Experience in healthcare, senior living, or multi-location service organizations is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accounting accuracy
• Organized and process-oriented
• Effective team leader and collaborator
• Systems-minded with an interest in process improvement and automation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working within a distributed international team structure.
