Product Manager - Automotive (Mexico Market Focus)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead product planning and execution for the automotive portfolio in Mexico.

This role goes beyond traditional product management. We are looking for someone who can independently assess the market, challenge assumptions, and drive product and pricing decisions based on a deep understanding of the Mexican automotive landscape .

The ideal candidate is a business‑oriented product leader , not just a process executor, capable of translating market insights into clear and actionable product strategies.

Position Objective

Own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for assigned vehicle lines in Mexico, ensuring strong competitiveness, profitability, and alignment with local customer needs.

Act as the key bridge between global strategy and local execution, adapting and challenging global inputs when necessary to fit the Mexican market reality .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full product lifecycle (launch, updates, pricing, positioning, phase‑out) for vehicle lines in Mexico.
• Define market-driven product and pricing strategies , grounded in local competition, customer behavior, and commercial objectives.
• Lead new vehicle launches and lifecycle updates , ensuring strong market positioning and dealer readiness.
• Develop and challenge pricing structures, product mix, and value propositions , balancing volume and profitability.
• Translate market intelligence into clear product decisions , not just analysis.
• Work closely with HQ to align strategies while ensuring local relevance and competitiveness .
• Drive cross‑functional coordination across Marketing, Sales, Aftersales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Engineering .
• Monitor and interpret competitive landscape, pricing evolution, and market trends in Mexico .
• Build business cases based on first-principles thinking , not only existing tools or frameworks.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in automotive product roles (OEM) .
• Proven experience managing vehicle lines or product portfolios specifically for the Mexican market .
• Direct involvement in: Product lifecycle management, vehicle launches and pricing and positioning decisions
• Experience working with global/HQ teams , with the ability to localize strategy.
• Strong exposure to competitive analysis and market intelligence in Mexico .
