Customs Compliance Specialist (Colima)

Position Summary

Manages day-to-day import/export operations and ensures compliance with Mexican customs regulations. Acts as the primary point of contact for customs brokers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate import/export shipments end-to-end
• Review and approve:
  • Pedimentos
  • Certificates of origin (USMCA/T-MEC)
• Ensure compliance with:
  • Ley Aduanera
  • IMMEX program (if applicable)
• Manage HS classification and valuation accuracy
• Resolve customs clearance issues
• Interface with brokers and freight forwarders
• Support audits and compliance documentation

Scope

• Independently manages workflows
• High interaction with internal teams and vendors

Qualifications

• 3–6 years' experience
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Mexican customs law
  • USMCA (T-MEC)
  • ERP experience (SAP preferred)
• English Advanced
