Senior Record to Report Analyst

Queretaro, Mexico.

As a Senior Analyst, the team member supports complex operational and transactional activities, including period-end close activities, balance sheet (BS) reconciliations, journal entry (JE) preparation and posting, and property accounting.

Work you’ll do

Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger (GL) in a timely and accurate manner. The role also supports the BlackLine reconciliation process in compliance with the Deloitte Global Reconciliation Policy, including preparing balance-sheet reconciliations, performing monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis of balance sheet and profit and loss (P&L) accounts, and preparing correcting journal entries to address reconciling items.

Independently perform complex balance sheet account reconciliations, investigate root causes, and resolve or appropriately escalate open items.

• Understand and apply knowledge of key business drivers and respond to stakeholder queries in a timely manner.
• Conduct research and analysis for assigned processes, as required.
• Own and maintain process documentation, including desktop procedures and work instructions, and coordinate updates with team members and stakeholders to reflect current processes and controls.
• Support and coordinate assigned transition, migration, and new-activity implementation workstreams, including process readiness, knowledge transfer, issue tracking, and stabilization activities.
• Assess non-standard activities and determine appropriate courses of action within established procedures and escalate matters requiring additional guidance or decision-making.
• Prioritize and coordinate multiple deliverables, dependencies, and stakeholder requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Coordinate data inputs, validate information, and support the compilation of accurate and timely periodic management information reports.
• Execute assigned activities in accordance with member firm process guidelines, accounting procedures, internal controls, and applicable firm policies.
• Apply hands-on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience to support application changes and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test-scenario preparation, execution, defect documentation, and follow-up through resolution.
• Coordinate assigned asset lifecycle management (ALM) activities, including asset setup, transfers, periodic review, depreciation support, retirement and disposal, while ensuring accurate

Qualifications

Required:

• Completion of course of study/Egresado in any pertinent field or industry in any pertinent field or industry
• Advanced English level.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
• Proactive, with good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Ability to perform extensive research and reach accurate conclusions in ambiguous data scenarios.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the Queretaro Office

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of reconciliations in BlackLine and SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Record to Report process.
