Software Development Manager

Job Summary:Trellint is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead, build, and enhance our application suite (enforcement, adjudication, and permits) for our customers. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in Java and/or .NET, proven team leadership, a forward-thinking approach to AI-augmented development, leadership experience in managing development teams, and familiarity with backend systems collaboration/integration. This role will require goal setting, leadership and cross-functional collaboration across developers, product managers, operations, and QA to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions with modern AI tooling integrated into every phase of the development lifecycle.Job Description:Team LeadershipManage and mentor a team which will be a mix of Java, .NET and VB developers, ensuring optimal performance and growth.Use AI tools to assist with code reviews, and champion AI-powered test generation (unit, integration, regression) to increase test coverage.Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.Project Management of Deliverables and On-time Delivery.Ensure Financial and Time Tracking is implemented to track Budget Guidelines and QSR's.DevelopmentOversee the development and maintenance of enterprise-level applications.Ensure code quality, application performance, and scalability.Address technical challenges and provide hands-on guidance when needed.Lead team adoption of AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate feature delivery and reduce manual effort.Drive AI-assisted migration of legacy code to modern Java or .NET.Integrate AI-assisted development workflows into the team's SDLC.Project ManagementPlan, prioritize, and manage development tasks to meet project deadlines and business goals.Collaborate with product managers to define requirements and deliverables.Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.Backend IntegrationCollaborate between the Batch Backend Team and frontend Java teams to ensure seamless integration between the parking enforcement application and backend batch services.Understand backend APIs and contribute to the overall system architecture and future improvements in processing ticketsQuality AssuranceWork with QA teams to establish robust testing strategies and ensure bug-free releases.Champion AI-generated test case coverage to supplement manual QA efforts.Support the team in addressing production issues and implementing fixes.Process ImprovementIdentify areas for workflow optimization and implement AI-powered automation where appropriate.Stay updated on the latest development tools, trends, and AI capabilities to improve team output.Required Skills and qualificationsHands-on experience using Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code or Chat GPT for augmented coding and DevOps workflows.Proficiency with Java development/coding.Ability to work with, and enhance existing code base (Java, .NET, VB).Proficiency with modern Coding Standards.Knowledge of Jira.Knowledge of Azure DevOps.Problem-solving.Ability to work well within a diverse team.Positive attitude.Preferred qualificationsProficiency with Java and .NET.Familiarity with Claude Code.Familiarity with CA Scheduler and Batch Processing.MS Azure.Experience with Oracle Database.Familiarity with SQL Server.Familiarity with Windows Server.Understanding of unit testing and iteration.Comfortable working on both front- and back-end of development.Worker Type:RegularNumber of Openings Available:1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
