The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Project Origination & Pipeline Development: Proactively identify, qualify, and secure utility-scale BESS opportunities across Mexico, targeting key stakeholders including CFE, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), renewable developers, and major EPC contractors. Build and maintain C‑suite relationships to drive long-term partnerships.
• End-to-End Commercial Management: Own the full sales cycle from lead generation, technical solution alignment, and bid submission (RFI/RFQ), to contract negotiation and deal closure. Coordinate cross-functionally with internal technical, legal, and finance teams to ensure all proposals comply with CENACE grid codes and CRE regulatory requirements.
• Market Intelligence & Strategy: Continuously monitor Mexico's energy policy landscape, storage mandate developments, wholesale electricity price trends, and competitor activities. Deliver regular market insight reports to inform strategic decision-making at the regional and global levels.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in utility-scale renewables (solar/wind) or storage project development, with a proven track record of closing large-scale BESS deals in Mexico or similar markets.
• Technical & Commercial Acumen:
• Deep understanding of Mexico's wholesale electricity market (MEM), ancillary services, and storage revenue stacking (arbitrage, capacity, reserve, etc.).
• Ability to perform basic financial modeling and assess project IRR, NPV, and sensitivity drivers.
• Strong negotiation and contract-management skills.
• Language Proficiency:
• Spanish: Fluent (professional proficiency required for direct client and government negotiations).
• English: Fluent (business-level, for internal reporting and global coordination).
