Sales Manager — Energy Storage / Home Energy | Mexico Market

About the Role

Tuya is expanding its integrated energy solution and home energy portfolio across Latin America, and Mexico is the anchor market. We're hiring a Sales Manager to own end-to-end sales: from channel development and direct enterprise engagement to project delivery, after-sales, and product feedback loop to headquarters.

If you have a track record in solar / storage distribution, retail channels, and C&I / residential energy projects in Mexico , and you know how to translate market insight into product feedback — this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Market & Customer Development

• Drive sales of Tuya's integrated energy solutions and home energy products in the Mexican market.
• Build and convert a qualified pipeline through personal networks, market events, trade shows, and social media channels.
• Visit customers in person to convert opportunities into signed partnerships, and own the sales outcome for your assigned business line.

Industry & Product Expertise

• Apply hands-on knowledge of product compliance and certification requirements in the Mexican energy market.
• Navigate distribution and retail channel dynamics , leveraging prior experience in energy storage (BESS) project delivery .
• Analyze customer needs and translate market, industry, and trend insights into a customer acquisition and cultivation strategy that lifts revenue.

Cross-Functional Execution

• Coordinate internal and external resources to design and execute go-to-market plans ; track R&D, production, sales, and after-sales to ensure on-time project delivery and sustained customer success .
• Feed back market and customer requirements to internal product teams in a structured way to support product iteration and roadmap decisions , helping customers unlock greater market value.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have

• 3+ years of overseas sales experience , with proven track record in energy projects — ideally home energy storage (BESS) .
• Strong business negotiation, communication, and logical thinking skills; able to build a new business from 0 to 1.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with senior customer stakeholders (C-level / decision-makers).
• Fluent English and Spanish , both written and spoken.

Nice-to-Have

• Established network in Mexico's solar / storage / energy distribution and retail ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Mexican energy market policy and compliance (e.g., CRE, NOM standards, local certifications).
• Background working with Chinese energy / IoT / AI platform companies in cross-border settings.
